Brisk: Photo Cleaner

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

Brisk: Photo Cleaner (“Brisk”, “we”) is built so that your personal content stays on your iPhone. Last change: added the optional email cleaner. This policy explains what the app accesses and what, if anything, leaves your device.

Photos and videos

With your permission, Brisk reads your photo library to find duplicates, similar photos, screenshots, blurry photos, Live Photos and large videos. All analysis (image fingerprints, sharpness, file sizes) runs on your device. Your photos, videos and the analysis results are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Photos are deleted only when you choose to delete them and confirm in the iOS system dialog; deleted items go to the Photos “Recently Deleted” album.

Contacts

If you use the duplicate contacts feature, Brisk reads your contacts on your device to find duplicates and, when you tap Merge, updates and removes contacts in your address book. Contacts are never uploaded.

Email (optional)

If you connect a mailbox, Brisk reads only email headers (sender, subject, date, size and the List-Unsubscribe header) to group your mail and help you unsubscribe or delete it. For iCloud Mail you provide an app-specific password; for Outlook you sign in with Microsoft and Brisk receives a token for the Mail.ReadWrite permission. The password or token is stored only in your iPhone's Keychain, and the app talks directly to your mail provider (imap.mail.me.com or graph.microsoft.com). Email content is never sent to us or to any third party. When you tap Unsubscribe, Brisk contacts the unsubscribe address the sender published. Deleted emails are moved to your mailbox's Trash. You can disconnect an account at any time in the app, and revoke access in your Apple or Microsoft account.

Crash reports

To fix bugs, Brisk sends anonymous crash and error reports to our crash-reporting provider, Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.). A report contains technical data such as the app version, device model, iOS version and the error stack trace. It does not contain your photos, contacts, name, email or advertising identifier, and it is not used for tracking or advertising.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see your payment details. To check whether your subscription is active we may use RevenueCat, Inc., which receives an anonymous app user ID and Apple's purchase receipt.

What we don't do

Children

Brisk is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal data.

Your choices

You can turn off photo or contacts access at any time in iOS Settings › Brisk. Deleting the app removes all data it stored on your device.
